get_hashes

get_hashes(path, names, *, chunk_size=None)

Calculate several hexdigests of hash algorithms for a file concurrently.

Parameters:

• path (Union[str, Path]) – The file path.

• names (Iterable[str]) – Names of the hash algorithms in hashlib

• chunk_size (Optional[int]) – The chunk size for reading the file.

Return type:

Mapping[str, Any]

Returns:

A collection of observed hexdigests
